horse (马)：
一种两头危险，中间不舒服的动物。
-an animal dangerous at both ends and uncomfortable in the middle.
职业骑师最重要的部分。
-the most important part of a jockey.

colt (公驹)：
当你想要母驹的时候，母马总给你生的东西。
- what your mare always gives you when you want a filly.

contracted foot (一种马病即蹄叉萎缩，直译收缩蹄子)
无意识地向上收缩蹄子的反应，在踩你的脚之前。
- the involuntary/instant reflex of curling one''s toes up - right before a horse steps on your foot.

equitation（骑马术）
当在亮相圈里马又蹦又跳想把你甩下来的时候，你身体要保持适当地姿势、在脸上要保持笑容的能力。
-the ability to keep a smile on your face and proper posture while your horse tries to crowhop, shy and buck his way around a show ring.

horse shoes （马蹄铁）
一种很贵的半圆形投掷物，马总想把它们抛出。
- expensive semi-circular projectiles that horses like to throw.

jumping （超越障碍赛，跳越）
马所做的一种特征性运动，当给它注射疫苗的时候或者给它修蹄的时候。

pony（矮马）
用人工授精的方式给你的母马配种的那匹公马的实际大小，而广告上说它有15掌高（注：1掌为10厘米）

tack room（马具室）
用于装你训练马匹或从事马匹工作时所有用具的房间，在这个地方，少于30分钟不会找到你所需要的东西。

hay (干草)
- a green itchy material that collects between layers of clothing, especially in unmentionable places.
